Thursday sessions are fantastic for building up your stamina and getting you ready for a parkrun Pb or a 10k race. Mike Hopkins who takes these sessions always makes sure everyone works within their own pace and limit. Training includes intervals, hill training and Fartlek which means "speed play" in Swedish, this is continuous running with interval training. Fartlek runs are a very simple form of a long distance run, Fartlek training is simply defined as periods of fast running intermixed with periods of slower running. Mike who has his England Athletic leadership certificate creates a welcoming and friendly environment to train in, we meet at various locations throughout the year so please check details from week to week on our facebook page.
